The 4Tet sessions – back again for its second installment in a bigger and more dramatic venue!
Expect beautifully crafted original songs from our three established featured musicians accompanied by the fantastic 4tet String Quartet. Settle in for an intimate moody night of strings, voice, guitar and otherworldly sounds.
Our collaborators for this special event are Niamh Bury, Aongus MacAmhalaigh and Al Baker.
The 4tet String Quartet will also perform instrumental pieces.
Niamh Bury is one of the most compelling and exciting voices on the Irish folk scene. Her debut album, Yellow Roses, released March 2024 – earned #3 on Mojo’s Best Folk Albums of 2024. Signed to the iconic Claddagh Records, Niamh’s richly-textured folk sound and singular vocals has led her to share the stage with acts such as Flyte, Maddison Cunningham, Dermot Kennedy and Ye Vagabonds.
Niamh is one of the chief organisers of the iconic traditional singing session, The Night Before Larry Got Stretched, which famously takes place in The Cobblestone pub and whose founders include members of Lankum and Landless. Nominated for Best Emerging Artist at the 2025 RTE Folk Awards, she is one of the first new artists in almost two decades to be signed to Ireland’s most culturally important record label, Claddagh Records. Her second album is due for release in 2027
Aongus Mac Amhlaigh, is a cellist, singer and arranger from Donegal, who grew up singing traditional Sean Nos songs and playing fiddle and classical cello. He has collaborated, recorded and performed music with a wide variety of musicians such as The Beautiful South, Le Boom, AE Mak, Niamh Bury, The Scratch, Kila, Danu, Inni-K and Varo to mention just a few!

Al Baker is a Dublin-born singer-songwriter whose eclectic musical journey spans the raw energy of rock bands and the innovative pulse of electronic music to the soulful embrace of traditional folk. Twice steeped in academic music studies, Al has honed his craft into a unique sound characterized by acoustic textures and an upbeat country twist. His songs weave abstract imagery with themes of insomnia, life’s relentless pressures, and heartbreak, creating a captivating and deeply resonant musical narrative. 1st release in June 2026.
