Papa Romeo Presents: The Winter Games – this year featuring a live show from SELL EVERYTHING, with support from John Lappin ‘Adventures in Dub’, plus DJ sets from Síofra, Jimmy Rouge and Papa Romeo DJs. Papa Romeo will not be playing live as a band at this event, but we’re excited to showcase some of our favourite acts in Ireland right now and put on a big kicker in the process.

SELL EVERYTHING make woozy, melancholic guitar music in the vein of Mk.Gee and King Krule. With a chaotic, infectious live show and a catalogue of stellar singles under their belt, the young Dubliners are set for big things and we are delighted to have them headline the live segment of the night.

John Lappin ‘Adventures in Dub’
On support we’re privileged to welcome John Lappin for the live debut of ‘Adventures in Dub’. This hardware voyage through dub and digi-dub soundsystem music, told through the misty eye of a Laois Druid, is sure to set your heart alight.

Síofra

Dublin-born Síofra has been gaining recognition as a curator of dynamic progressive house and trance, crafting a unique signature style that has landed her on lineups in Berlin, Paris, and London. A Fandango Berlin resident, she has shared her sound on NTS and Rinse France, played parties like Radiant Records and Hors-Sol, and appeared at clubs including Printworks, Tresor, and Macadam. She also runs the DIY party series Cara between Copenhagen and Berlin and is a core organiser with Dublin Modular, a queer artist-run collective supporting live electronic music, visual and performing arts. Having her bring that journey to The Sugar Club terrace is a privilege, this set is not to be missed!

Jimmy Rouge

Jimmy Rouge is the DJ and Producer at the head of Orange Tree Edits. Based in Amsterdam, Jimmy has kept the label busy with 11 releases to its name since its inception in 2017. His most recent release ‘Flow’ – a fast percussion-led steamroller of a house track – on the London-based Suckerpunch Label, shows an exciting direction of travel for this rangey producer. When it comes to closing out this party on the terrace, Jimmy knows best!

Great place to see a gig. Tiered seating with tables and a bar at the back of the room. Good smoking area and toilets also.

Epic place: intimate, cozy, great acoustic, perfect size, the stage is on the bottom and the seats rise up making it great for everyone’s view! And the group we went to watch to were ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT Miguel Siso and band 😍😍😍🇮🇪🇻🇪

Here for a concert and what an experience it was! Not the usual joint for the kind of band but it was worth it. Intimate and comfortable and great fun. Lovely staff and amazing setup.

Mid-century modern meets acoustic science in this intimate performance venue. Curved banquettes and tiered flooring create optimal sound wave propagation. Stage lighting adjusts seamlessly between jazz intimacy and comedy club brightness. Cocktail viscosity appears calibrated for optimal swirling in low light.

Had an absolute blast, lost my glasses in all the excitement. The staff were a delight and the atmosphere was incredible. Haus of Wig's Hausparties are the place to be.

Small and cozy place with backyard area, perfectly suited for summer events. We went to Afro Irish fashion and it was very warm and pleasant atmosphere there. Staff and bartenders were very attentive and hosting the event.
