Droichead Arts Centre is delighted to announce both the Dublin premiere of SJ McArdle’s show Port and the release of the accompanying album, Old Ghosts In The Water.

Port is a new song cycle produced by Droichead Arts Centre, featuring songs written around the history of Drogheda’s ancient Port during SJ’s tenure as Artist in Association in 2019.

SJ McArdle is a songwriter and musician, known for his work in award-winning band Kern and his career as a singer-songwriter in Nashville and Germany.

His songs have been featured in radio, film and television and he has toured and recorded extensively in Ireland, Europe and North America.

The band includes Carol Keogh (Plague Monkeys, Automata), Trevor Hutchinson (Lúnasa, The Waterboys) and Graham Henderson (Moving Hearts, Sinéad O’Connor).

Port is produced by Droichead Arts Centre with funding from the Arts Council and Louth County Council and with sponsorship from Drogheda Port Company.
