Duende is a Spanish term for a heightened state of emotion, a typical flamenco term which basically means “inspiration”, expression and authenticity Originating from folkloric Andalusian argot and first theorized and enhanced by Andalusian poet and one of the most recognized Spanish writers Federico Garcia Lorca on his essay “Teoria y Juego del Duende” emotion as a source of art generation and although it is not the only way to reach creation but in traditional Flamenco dance and music is the source of its existence. of such weight that it permeates the entire history of art in a multitude of facets since the night of the times, so we should not underestimate its value and what that represent for us mere human beings able to feel and not deny our capacity of connect with that as primal instinct.
