About Concert for Shay

A special evening of music commemorating the 21st Anniversary of the great Shay Connor who lost his battle with cancer in 2001. The show has been put together by his son Alan Connor to celebrate Shay’s great love of music. All are welcome and 100% of proceeds from ticket sales will go to The Irish Hospice Foundation.

The line up for the night consists of Tunes From a Misspent Youth (Alan Connor, John McLoughlin, Nicky Scott & Gerry Culloty) with a 3 piece brass section led by Alison Reynolds.

They will also be joined by Special Guests: Tom Dunne (Something Happens/Newstalk), Fiachna Ó Braonáin (Hothouse Flowers/RTE radio 1), Frances Black & Brian Kennedys “The Junkyard Dogs” The legendary Declan O’Brien will be Master of Ceremonies for the evening.

It promises to a great night of music from artists such as Thin Lizzy, The Blues Brothers, ZZ Top, The Meters, Ry Cooder, George Harrison, Fleetwood Mac, Madness, Eric Clapton, Rory Gallagher and more..
