A key artist on the Kabyle and World Music scene, Akli D. has been touring the world’s greatest stages & festivals for over 20 years. A unifier, he sings of exile, peace, youth, freedom, & hope. His music is all about sharing and bringing people together. His talent as a songwriter has led him to collaborate with some of the greatest artists, both on stage and in the studio: Manu Chao, Steeve Hillage, Billy Cobham, Magyd Cherfi, Les Ogres de Barback, Femi Kuti, & many more. As part of the festival, he will collaborate & perform with Irish artists Niamh Dunne, Paul Harrigan, Dermot Sheedy & Orfhlaith Ní Bhriain to explore connections between Algerian and Irish music.
